Comacchio has officially started the countdown for the well-known Eel Festival, an event that connects the history and the culinary culture of the characteristic little village on the Po Delta, and which honors a tradition that began in far 1999.
Since then, the Eel Festival has been repeated every year to celebrate the main ingredient of Comacchio cuisine. This year you will have the pleasure to celebrate the Festival for three weekends, from September 29th to October 15th, and it will be a succession of events and good food
Gourmets will surely appreciate all the traditional fish specialties served both in restaurants in the city center and in the stands along streets and canals, in a literal assault on the senses near the lagoon.
Sovereign of the Valleys, the eel is served fried, grilled, in broth, risotto or sauce. You should also try delicious eel sandwich and pizza!
